One of the most scenic waterfalls in India, Dudhsagar literally means ‘Sea of Milk’. Though perennial, the beauty of the waterfall increases multi-fold during the rainy season. Trekking to the waterfall is the most popular activity and passes through steep mountain terrain. Jeep safari is also popular with tourists. There are four routes to reach the waterfall. The third trail starting from Collem railway station or Kulhem railway station; is about 11 km long. Though scenic it is not as popular as the trail from Castle Rock.

The Beauty of Black Forest in Winter, Germany

The name conjures up images of a wild, isolated place where time passes slowly. The dense woodland of the Black Forest—Schwarzwald in German—stretches away to the horizon, but this southwest corner of Baden-Württemberg (in the larger region known as Swabia) is neither inaccessible nor dull. The Black Forest is known the world over for cuckoo clocks; the women’s native costume.

Swabians are the butt of endless jokes about their frugality and supposedly simplistic nature. The first travelers checked in here 19 centuries ago, when the Roman emperor Caracalla and his army rested and soothed their battle wounds in the natural-spring waters at what later became Baden-Baden.

Fifth Water Hot Springs in Diamond Fork Canyon

Fifth Water Hot Springs are located in Diamond Fork Canyon, which splits off from Spanish Fork Canyon. Total drive time from Spanish Fork, Utah is about a half hour on paved roads. At the trailhead, there is lots of parking and a bathroom.
fifth-hot-springs-Three scenic waterfalls and some very nice hot springs are located along Fifth Water Creek, which is a tributary to the Diamond Fork River. The hot springs are very popular and draw crowds on weekends during warm weather. Several soaking pools are available. The water is clear and you can vary its temperature by positioning yourself at different points in the pools, and by regulating the water flows into the pools. Warning: some individuals choose to soak nude in the pools. That is against the law, but it is common to see nude people here.

During winter, snow is usually well packed and you can usually hike to the hot pools without snowshoes. You will need a four-wheel-drive vehicle to reach the trailhead.

Ten Years after Hurricane Katrina, Tulane University Continues to Receive Support

When Hurricane Katrina devastated Tulane University and the surrounding town, Johnson Controls came through with some much needed assistance from companies using restoration project management software to quickly fix all the devastation. With the donations from Johnson Controls, Tulane University was back up and running in just five short months. They provided the many resources that were needed to bring students and instructors home so that they could start to rebuild their lives.

Now, 10 Years After Hurricane Katrina, Johnson Controls is donated another million dollars for the Tulane City Center. They are a non-profit organization that is designed to rebuild the city and bring resources back the residents who lost so much. The money will fund projects like the Grow Dat Youth Farm and the Parisite Skate Park. These programs were designed to enhance the lives of the children and to start improving the lives of all residents. The Grow Dat Youth Farm will provide the residents with fresh food and will teach the children life lessons. It is estimated that this program yields 10,000 pounds of food each year. The Parisite Skate Park will create a safe place for around 5000 youth to go to exercise, work on their athletics, and stay out of trouble.

Indoor dog house under stairs

Your pet deserves all the comfort and care they can get, because they give us so much joy and love and they ask for so little in return. A pat on the head, some water, food, a good run and some quality play time will make their day. To give them a place of comfort and class to call their own is an extension of showing them how much your appreciate them.
indoor-dog-house-under-stairs-It seems we are seeing more and more people submitting DIY projects around the house lately. Some people got sick of all the unused space under the stairs, so they decided to turn it into something. For myself there is no batter thing to do than turn that annoying gap under the stairs into a nice bit of quiet space for my dog. Not only will he like it, but I think I will enjoy making it.

World’s Largest Concrete Ship

The Gu Tian was abandoned shortly after her maiden voyage in 1974 and has since become a home to squatters and is a local tourist attraction in Fuzhou, capital of southeast China’s Fujian Province. The cement ship was built during the 1970s when there was a lack of steel in China as a cheap solution during the ‘cultural revolution’.
gu tianIt was launched to herald in a new age where China had mastery of the seas. But after her first voyage in 1974, Communist officials realised it cost far too much to power a concrete ship through the waters, and she was driven ashore and grounded. The 345ft long, 48ft wide, 26ft 7in high Gu Tian became a squat for locals and a minor tourist attraction and spent 40 years beached on the bank of the Mingjiang River. It was also used as a training base for Fujian Ship Communications Vocational College.
gu tian-It has previously been ruled too expensive to destroy but since the land was bought by a re-development scheme, the process began to dismantle it to build a block of flats. The world’s largest concrete ship has been dismantled after spending four decades stranded on the riverbank.
